Presenting the natural attractions of the Karkonosze Mountains, one cannot omit the highest peak of the Sudetes - Śnieżka. Its height is 1602 m above sea level. The Polish-Czech border runs through it, and there is also a Meteorological Observatory, the Chapel of St. Lawrence, a post office building, and a cable car station located there. This mountain can be conquered via various trails, starting the hike from Karpacz or from the Czech side. The most popular route leads through the "Samotnia" mountain hostel and "Strzecha Akademicka", although there is also a more difficult path through the Kocioł Łomniczki basin (closed in winter). The Jubilee Road makes the ascent to the summit easier - it is also accessible to cyclists and strollers (closed in winter).
