It was here that the famous linen bleaching plant was located, which processed the renowned Jelenia Góra veils — delicate fabrics exported all over Europe.
The palace was once owned by merchant aristocracy, the so-called “veil lords,” who established one of the most important weaving centers in this part of Europe in the Jelenia Góra Basin. After years of serving various functions, including as an orphanage and private property, the Pakoszów Palace underwent a thorough renovation and has been functioning as a luxury hotel since 2012.
